DAY 1, SATURDAY :: CATANIA
Meet and greet at the Catania airport by a Michelangelo Tours representative. Accommodations. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 2, SUNDAY :: CATANIA / SIRACUSA / RAGUSA
After a buffet breakfast, depart for Siracusa and visit the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear.” Continue to the island of Ortiga, historical centre of the city. Lunch on your own. Visit of the Cathedral and Arethuse Fountain. Depart for Ragusa and accommodations at the hotel. The evening will be dedicated to a fascinating visit to the historical centre of Ibla and a dinner in a famous restaurant with a typical Sicilian menu.
DAY 3, MONDAY :: RAGUSA / PIAZZA / ARMERINA / AGRIGENTO
After buffet breakfast, depart for Caltagirone famous centre of the Sicilian ceramics production. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale thanks to its well preserved mosaics. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu chosen to give the opportunity to taste the local specialties. Depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples. Accommodation and dinner at your hotel. After dinner, unforgettable tour of the Valley of the Temples by night.
DAY 4, TUESDAY :: AGRIGENTO / .PALERMO /
MONREALEAfter a buffet breakfast, depart to for Palermo. Accommodation at hotel. Time at leisure and lunch on your own. In the afternoon visit of Monreale: visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of the world, and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Continue to visit the historical centre of Palermo, one of the largest of Europe (including the Cathedral) the Palatine Chapel, the Royal Palace. Accommodation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight. |
DAY 6, THURSDAY :: PALERMO / CEFALU / PARCO DEI NEBRODI / TAORMINA / GIARDINI NAXOS
After a buffet breakfast, depart for Cefalu and visit the Arab-Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk in the streets of the small village and continue to the Park of “Nebrodi.” Stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch with typical menu. Continue to Cessaro, Randazzo and visit the Etna park from an unusual point of view, the North part of it.
DAY 7, FRIDAY :: TAORMINA / GIARDINI INAXOS
After a buffet breakfast, full day at leisure in one of the most famous Mediterranean resorts. Enjoy this free day by walking in the streets of Taormina placed on a position which has inspired a lot of artists. For those who will be interested, possibility of an optional excursion to the Mount Etna (till 1800 mtrs or ascent to 3000 mtrs). In the evening be ready for a farewell dinner at your hotel.
DAY 8, SATURDAY :: TAORMINA / GIARDINI INAXOS
After a buffet breakfast, end of the Tour. Private transfers to Catania airport by a Michelangelo Tour representative. You can also extend your stay. |
DAY 5, WEDNESDAY :: PALERMO / SEGESTA / ERICE / TRAPANI / PALERMOAfter a buffet breakfast, depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Continue to the medieval village of Erice placed on the top of a hill, and walk in its tiny and characteristic streets. Lunch on your own. Down to Trapani viewing the salt windmills still working. Return to Palermo. Dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation at your hotel. |
